This world is an amazing place to be, it feels even better when we are just children. The time when we are so naïve about all the material belongings and we just want to eat, play, be loved by our parents and nothing more just than to be happy. Not to mention that the most persistent fear for me when I was a child was not being able to complete school homework. As we grow up we fall more into the matrix of the world and somewhere our innocence get lost and the love for life becomes more complicated. With growing age we get duped by the responsibilities of the life and we become more and more focused in achieving, competing, upgrading, show- offing, manipulating, materials hoarding, complaining and what not. We tend to forget how to be happy and live life in bliss in whatever situation we are.
I have an article which explain about how to raise a happy child in the following link:
According to the psychiatrist Carl Jung, there are 5 factors that are most important to living a happy life:
1. Take care of your physical and mental health
2. Working to improve your relationships
3. See all the beauty around
4. Enjoy your work and life
5. Something to believe
From my point of view about how to live a happy in life is to decide and then go in search of pursuits that makes you feel blessed. At first the intentions are the major step for attaining anything we desire to have, be it any ambitious goals or be the decision to be happy. Personally one of my best quotes from this great Psychiatrist is:
“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become”
However when we aim for happiness, it should not be ignored that, only after experiencing some of the miseries or unfortunate incidents in life, a person becomes more conscious and understands what happiness is. Carl Jung also quotes that “Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word ‘happy’ would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. “
Life is a beautiful basket of gift given to us which will be filled with fresh roses, sweet memories, happy relations, achievements but also the thorns with the flower, challenging life events, failures, and rejections won´t be missed.
